PROGRAMS
Strategic Pillars of Action
At Kadewaguru Foundation, we implement programs that directly contribute to advancing ethical education, inclusive knowledge production, and community-based empowerment. These initiatives are designed to respond to the most pressing needs of education and society while remaining grounded in cultural wisdom and academic integrity.
Our programs are structured around three strategic pillars, each reflecting our core mission and institutional values. These pillars translate the Balinese philosophy of Tri Hita Karana—spiritual meaning (Parahyangan), social dignity (Pawongan), and ecological harmony (Palemahan)—into actionable pathways for sustainable and transformative development.

Education and Scientific Advancement
This program focuses on strengthening the education and scientific publishing ecosystem, emphasizing quality, access, and ethical academic practices. We support educators, researchers, students, and institutions across all levels and types of education to engage in continuous learning and knowledge creation.
Our priority in this program is to develop and manage a portfolio of open-access, peer-reviewed scientific journals across disciplines, providing a credible platform for knowledge dissemination and scholarly exchange at the national and international levels.
Key Activities:
Developing and managing scientific journals through the Open Journal Systems (OJS), adhering to international standards of peer review and editorial ethics
Inviting competent and professional academics to contribute as editors, reviewers, and advisory board members
Providing capacity-building programs in academic writing, editorial skills, and research-based publishing
Supporting education management practices that integrate ethics, cultural sensitivity, and sustainability into institutional development.

Research and Community Engagement
This program encourages the integration of research with community needs, values, and aspirations. We support the design and dissemination of research that addresses real-world problems, especially those related to education, public health, and cultural sustainability.
Rather than offering large-scale funding, we focus on creating collaboration and academic sharing spaces, enabling emerging scholars and practitioners to engage in interdisciplinary and locally relevant knowledge production.
Key Activities:
Facilitating collaborative research among academics, institutions, and professional communities
Hosting thematic academic forums, roundtable discussions, and applied research workshops
Promoting community-engaged scholarship with measurable impact on local development
Disseminating research outcomes through open-access journals, policy briefs, and cultural documentation.

Local Wisdom and Holistic Health
Our third program revitalizes local knowledge systems and traditional health practices as sources of empowerment, identity, and well-being. We promote the integration of cultural wisdom into health, education, and environmental ethics through practical, community-based initiatives.
Key Activities:
Documenting and promoting traditional healing knowledge, local nutrition, and ecological health literacy
Organizing community workshops on holistic wellness, youth leadership, and cultural transmission
Supporting the creation of learning platforms that connect indigenous knowledge with formal and non-formal education
Strengthening intergenerational learning for cultural sustainability and resilience
